In the championship of the Russian women’s Super League, at the mark of the fourth round, only two teams are undefeated – the current gold winner Lokomotiv (Kaliningrad region) and Tulitsa, which has been holding home games in the new sports palace since this season.

And the fourth round began with a classic confrontation between two Dynamo collectives – Moscow and Kazan. The capital “Dynamo” lost to the Tatarstan “Dynamo-Ak Bars” on its site in five sets” – 2:3 (25:15, 9:25, 25:18, 21:25, 7:15). Recall that from 2011 to 2015, the Kazakh girls won the championship title five times in a row, then Muscovites were at the top for four years, and in 2020, the team from the capital of Tatarstan took gold again.
The match in Moscow turned out to be quite illogical according to its scenario. In the second game, the hostesses almost set the anti-record of the season, scoring only nine points. And they frankly failed the tie-break. Diagonal striker Natalia Goncharova, although she became the top scorer of the meetings (21 points), but the effectiveness of the attack is weak – 34 percent of the implementation. The Bulgarian finish player Elitsa Vasileva took the brunt of the reception (48 actions), in attack she brought the team 18 points. Among the Kazakh girls, the laurels of the most productive were shared by the blocking Angelina Lazarenko and the finishing player Tatiana Kadochkina – 20 points each.
Both clubs have a lot of players with experience in the Russian national team, current candidates for the national squad. So the match also turned out to be a certain review of the capabilities of those who will be entrusted with raising the prestige of the main team of the country next year.
– The opponents did not have an even game. You play one game well, and your opponent dominates the next,” said Zeljko Bulatovic, the Serbian coach of Muscovites. – We experienced big problems in the attack from the fourth zone. If you don’t count Elitsa Vasileva, then with such indicators in attack, it’s simply impossible to defeat an opponent of the level of Kazan Dynamo. This is a disaster!
Last season, Muscovites finished second, kazanochki – third, these clubs will soon play in the Champions League 2021/22. At the same time, we note that in the Super League, the capital’s team is defeated already in the second important match. Earlier Bulatovich’s wards lost on the shores of the Baltic to Lokomotiv – 1:3.
In addition to Loko, Tulitsa and Dynamo Krasnodar went to the fourth round without defeats. In the face-to-face meeting, where the first two sets turned out to be especially persistent, the girls from Tula took over – 3:0 (27:25, 30:28, 25:19). Well, the Kaliningrad team will fight today at home with Uralochka.
The leaders in the championship are: Tulitsa (Tula) – 4 wins – 0 losses (11 points), Lokomotiv (Kaliningrad Region) – 3-0 (9), Dynamo-Ak Bars (Kazan) – 3-1 (8), Dynamo (Krasnodar) – 3-1 (8).
