Russian Karen Khachanov has risen from 30th to 27th place in the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), the new version of which is published on the organization’s website.
Khachanov reached the third round of the Australian Open, where he lost to the future winner of the tournament, Spaniard Rafael Nadal.
There was one change in the top 10 — Russian Andrey Rublev moved to the seventh line, losing the sixth to Italian Matteo Berrettini. Serbian Novak Djokovic is still leading the ranking, Daniil Medvedev is second, and German Alexander Zverev is on the third line.
Swiss Roger Federer dropped from 17th to 30th place. For a 40-year-old tennis player, this is the lowest position in the ranking since January 2001.
