The former head coach of the Russian national team Fabio Capello refused to apologize for giving a recommendation to the striker Alexander Kokorin when he moved from Spartak to Fiorentina.
“Am I ready to apologize for the transfer of Kokorin? I won’t do it. What nonsense is this?” – quotes Capello sport24.ru .
A little earlier, the ex-sports director of Zenit, Oreste Cinquini, admitted that he feels a little responsible for the transfer of the Russian to the Italian club.
“I would like to apologize for him (Kokorin). I and everyone who supported him saw a completely different football player. Now it’s a scared and confused player. I sympathize with Fiorentina,” Cinquini said in an interview with the portal Fiorentinanews.com .
Kokorin moved to Fiorentina last winter. Since then, he has played ten matches for the Violets, never entering the field in the starting lineup and not making a single effective action. In January, the Italians tried to terminate the contract with Alexander, calculated until the end of June 2024, but the forward remained in the team and was included in the application for the second part of the season.
