Ashleigh Barty became the winner of the Australian Open

Australian Ashleigh Barty became the winner of this year’s Australian Open. In the final of the first Grand Slam tournament of the season, the first racket of the world beat American Danielle Collins with a score of 6:3, 7:6.

In the match, which lasted 1 hour and 27 minutes, Barty beat her current opponent in many components, including the number of actively won points – 30 against 17.

As for the titles of the new winner of the Australian Open, this is her third Grand Slam victory. Before that, in 2019, she won Roland Garros, and last year she won Wimbledon.

Barty’s victory at the Australian Open can be called historic – she became the first Australian woman since 1978 to win this home tournament. Then Chris O’Neill beat the representative of the USA Betsy Nagelsen.
